Breckenridge Announces Closing Day For Peaks 9 & 10

Breckenridge's Peaks 9 and 10 (the resort segments its terrain into zones called "Peaks") will close this weekend, April 14th, per a recent social media announcement.

Beyond April 14th, Breckenridge's Peaks 6, 7, and 8 will be open for spring skiing and riding. These areas, serviced by multiple lifts, provide access to a bevy of terrain options.

As the month progresses, Breckenridge plans to shut down its remaining beginner terrain after April 21st, followed by the closure of Peak 8 base area access, which is scheduled to remain open through April 28th. From then onwards, the Peak 7 base will be the sole provider of mountain access.

Breckenridge has seen 285 inches of snow so far this season—on average, it picks up 355 inches.

Above-freezing temperatures and sunny skies are forecasted at Breckenridge this week, which should create some pleasantly slushy skiing conditions.

On Saturday, April 27th, the resort will officially ring spring in with its Splash Into Spring Pond Skim, with challengers competing for the best overall skim, best costume, and biggest splash.
