Breaking Down Richie Jackson's 'And Now' Video Part: A Commentary

Filmed by himself out on the East Coast of America, our old buddy Richie Jackson is checking in fifteen years after his groundbreaking And Now video part. After Richie's attention getting Escape From Boredom part (watch that!), he sent an email our way inquiring about having a part in our upcoming video. Jon Holland was down, Richie flew out from Australia straight to Jon's couch and they commenced filming with the rest of the crew for about nine months. Richie's part, being quite different from anyone else's in the video, went on to garner millions of views online. We've always wanted the lowdown on the ideas behind the tricks, a peek into Richie's unique way of thinking, and here it is.

Richie's attention to detail and his precise knowledge of skate history really made this part stand out. Filming tricks at spots that he'd see Jamie Thomas and Mike Vallely skate in San Diego years prior are cool nods to the past.

We've got a couple more Commentaries in the bag from the seminal And Now video. Check them out.
