Breaking! Britney Spears Is Engaged to Sam Asghari!

Big news coming atcha: Britney Spears is engaged! The pop icon's boyfriend Sam Asghari proposed over the weekend, and Britney literally JUST announced the news on Instagram, captioning a reel "I can’t fucking believe it 💍💍💍💍💍💍❣️!!!!!!"

In the above video, Britney shows off her ring to the camera in a buncha different angles (who wouldn't, it's so sparkly), and when asked by Sam if she likes it, she screams YEEEEESSSSSS!

FYI, Britney's engagement comes literally a day after pics of what appeared to be an engagement ring were posted on Sam's Instagram Story. The ring's band was engraved with the word "lioness" (this is Sam's nickname for Britney, FYI), which had everyone thinking he was about to propose.

But then Sam deleted the pic and ~claimed~ his account was hacked (sure, Jan), saying "Account got hacked and was photoshopped — calm down everyone!"

Back in June, a source told People that Sam is "ready for marriage and kids with Britney and is serious about the relationship" and that Britney "wants to take that next step and have that full life with him."

Meanwhile, a Page Six source mused that "he has been talking about popping the question more and more lately. Sam wants to spoil Britney with a very special, over-the-top and meaningful proposal when the time is right."

SO EXCITING THAT THEY MADE IT OFFICIAL! Congratulations to these two on everything that's ahead of them, including their upcoming wedding.
