New breakfast restaurant Vicious Biscuit coming to Gonzales later this year

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Vicious Biscuit, a fast-casual breakfast franchise, will open in Heritage Crossing later this year.

Nancy Bostrom with the chain said the address is 333 Saint Christopher St., Ste. A/B.

The restaurant focuses on biscuits made from scratch filled with Southern-inspired ingredients. A signature item is The Vicious — a cheddar and jalapeño biscuit with crispy fried chicken breast, signature maple sausage gravy, house cowboy candy and a maple syrup drizzle.

Seafood lovers could order The Crab Benny, a buttermilk biscuit made with jumbo lump crab cake atop a fried green tomato, a sunny-up egg smothered in hollandaise, garnished chives and Old Bay.

The menu also has beignets, fried green tomatoes, oatmeal, yogurt, waffles and omelets. The drink menu offers freshly squeezed mimosas and craft cocktails.

An opening date has not yet been released.

Zach Trujillo and Chris Miller are franchise partners who also plan to open a location in Baton Rouge.

We’re confident that their leadership will introduce the Baton Rouge community to a new level of breakfast and brunch excellence, and we can’t wait to see the impact they’ll make in the area.”
