Fish fries, the famous Friday night feature at restaurants across Wisconsin, are about to become more popular as Lent approaches.
Restaurants across Green Bay have already begun to advertise fish fry dinners, with breaded and battered fish and shrimp plates, fish sandwiches and more.
These longstanding businesses have established their reputations for having some of the best fish fry all year round, with some winning multiple awards and nominations for Best of the Bay in the fish fry/broil category.
The following is a list of popularly rated restaurants to visit for a fish fry dinner, and some even serve them any day of the week, not just Friday.
Club Chalet Supper Club
4642 Nicolet Drive, town of Scott
This supper club is one of the most praised in the Green Bay area for its fish fry dinners. Customers can order lake perch, grilled Atlantic salmon, haddock, walleye and shrimp. All dinners come with a choice of a side and soup. Any day of the week the restaurant also offers frog legs, lobster, mahi-mahi and other flavored salmon. Duck Creek Pub and Grill

Duck Creek Pub offers lake perch, cod, cod bites, fried or baked haddock, shrimp, smelt and fish sandwiches. All dinners come with a choice of fries, tater tots, potato salad or a baked potato. As the self proclaimed best fish fry in Green Bay since 1932, Maricque's menu consists of only seafood and sides. Any day of the week customers can order perch, filets or with bones, bluegill, cod, walleye, whitefish, catfish, and shrimp. Sides include cheese curds, french fries, and onion rings. All orders include rye bread and onions.
Redwood Inn

On Fridays, customers can visit Redwood in for perch, walleye, shrimp, cod, frog legs and salmon dinners which come with a choice of fries or baked potato, dinner roll and coleslaw. Twin Oaks Golf Course

Fish dinners at this golf course can be enjoyed any day of the week. Aside from the typical perch, walleye, cod, haddock, and shrimp dinners the restaurant offers, customers can also try its signature cape cod Rueben. The sandwich comes with two hand breaded filets, topped with swiss cheese and coleslaw on rye bread. All fish dinners come with coleslaw, a choice of fries, potato salad, or baked potato and marble rye bread.
