Bre Tiesi Makes a Cryptic Comment About Nick Cannon and Child Support

One of the mothers of Nick Cannon’s 12 kids has opened up about the star paying (or not paying) her child support.

Selling Sunset’s newest realtor Bre Tiesi, who shares son Legendary Love Cannon with the TV personality, was asked by fellow agent Amanza Smith in the new season of the show whether it's true that “after 10 kids, you don’t have to pay child support.”

"That's true," Tiesi replied. "The way it works is like, after 10, the court can basically say he can't afford to pay child support. Or because he is who he is, they could say, 'We know you can afford X amount for each household.'"

After Selling Sunset dropped on Netflix on May 19, Tiesi's lawyer commented on her client's statement. "Bre, you should know better!" Neama Rahmani told Us Weekly. "That is absolutely not true. There's no cap on child support based on the number of children. So, to the extent that Nick Cannon can have babies, he owes child support for those babies under California law."

But, the lawyer added in a statement to E!, "I was clarifying that Nick has a legal obligation to pay child support under California law. I didn't address whether the mothers of his children have requested child support or whether Nick has paid it to Bre or others."

And that's where the rest of Tiesi's recent comments come into play. The Selling Sunset star, who welcomed her son, Legendary, with Nick—his eighth child—last year, revealed on Season 6 of the show that "there's no legal agreement" between her and The Masked Singer host.

"I take care of myself and if my son needs something or we need something, I can ask. That's all I have to do," Tiesi shared, noting that "Nick is not my sugar daddy.”

“Nick is not my reason that I’m where I’m at," she added. "He's none of these things. It's stupid. It's like, if I can make crazy money by myself, I can carry my lifestyle, which is not cheap, and I can carry my child and my own... b---h, bye. I'm like, 'What do I need you for?' I can get a vibrator. It's more helpful. I don't need you."

In an interview with Parade, Tiesi revealed that she felt a little bit more comfortable about joining the cast of Selling Sunset after she "became public" about who she was having a child with, since her life was “kind of all out there at that point.”

"I had a lot that I was just keeping close to me and it's really hard to be in the public eye and hear everyone's opinions and get attacked online 24/7," Tiesi told Parade. "I was not at a place that I would have been able to like handle it as well, or have as thick as skin and I think that now I do. I definitely do. I'm at a different place than a couple of years ago, for sure."

In addition to having son Legendary with Tiesi, Nick is also a father to his and ex Mariah Carey's twins Monroe and Moroccan, as well as Golden Sagon, Rise Messiah and Powerful Queen, whom she shares with Brittany Bell.

With Abby De La Rosa, Nick shares twins, Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, and daughter Beautiful Zeppelin. He also shares daughter Onyx Ice Cole with LaNisha Cole, and daughter Halo Marie with Alyssa Scott. Scott and Nick's son Zen died of brain cancer when he was five months old in 2021.
