Only true Taco Bell connoisseurs know that there’s So! Much! More! to the menu than what you see. Even if you think you’ve had everything on the Taco Bell menu, the “secret menu” is A Thing and totally here to upgrade your Doritos Locos tacos. (Seriously. More on that below.)
From mixing sauces to switching proteins, Taco Bell has plenty of extra options you can try out—you just need to know how to order them. And that's where I come in, my friend.
We've sourced through Instagram, Google, and the Taco Bell Reddit threads to unveil this top-secret Taco Bell menu. What we found: Fourteen items you should def be ordering, like, right now. Run, do not walk, to the nearest T Bell.
1. The Double Cheesy Gordita Crunch
Most, if not all, locations include the Cheesy Gordita Crunch on their regular menu. You know it as the hardshell beef taco with a soft tortilla and add a little extra melted cheese in between. But if you really want to crank up the cheese and meat, the Double Cheesy Gordita Crunch is available at select locations too.
2. The Superman
The Superman is the true hero on Taco Bell’s secret menu. It takes all the cheesy goodness of a Cheesy Double Beef Burrito...and doubles it. You’ll have extra beef, extra cheese, extra rice—need I continue?
3. Order your favorites (like Doritos Locos Tacos) "Spicy Green"
This lil hack will give literally anything on the menu an extra punch of flavor. Sure, you could always just take a bunch of the mysterious green packets home for yourself, but it's not the same. The move: Ask them to drizzle the saucy goodness atop all your food beforehand and you won't regret it. All you have to say is "spicy green."
4. Waffle Taco
The Bell’s breakfast concoction is, well, exactly what you might guess—a waffle taco shell filled with scrambled eggs and sausage. Even as a secret item, the Waffle Taco isn’t available at every location, but you might as well ask because waffle. And taco. Duh.
5. Double Grilled Quesadilla
Order your dilla and ask for it to be grilled twice for maximum crunchiness on the tortilla. Genius, bb.
6. Cheesarito
It may not look like much, but the Cheesarito is low-key unreal. It’s a soft taco shell filled with melted cheese, scallions, and taco sauce. Absolutely nothing to complain about here.
7. Chili Cheese Burrito
A classic Bell hit from the ’90s, the Chili Cheese Burrito (aka the Chilito) is still so beloved that many locations have brought it back on the DL. And, yep, it’s a burrito filled with chili. And cheese.
8. Enchirito
Improve on a good thing (hi, enchiladas) by asking for one stuffed with cheese, beans, and beef. It’s like an enchilada meets a burrito. Get it?
9. Dorito Shell Tacos
Dorito shells exist for a reason, to be devoured after a late night. Why limit them to a handful of official menu items? Hack your standard Taco Bell order by ordering literally anything in a Dorito shell.
10. Lava Sauce
This spicy cheesy dip is available at most locations, although you gotta ask for it special. If they say they don’t have any left, mix a side order of nacho cheese with two or three packets of fire sauce. Heaven.
11. The Incredible Hulk Burrito
Order a five-layer burrito (yes, five), and ask to replace the nacho cheese with guac. Unreal.
12. Fresco Style
If you order your grub Fresco Style, they’ll take out the cheese, sour cream, guac, and any mayo-based sauces. They’ll also swap in pico de gallo.
