MATT HARMON: The San Francisco 49ers lose Emmanuel Sanders this off-season, and they replace him here by trading up in the first round for Brandon Aiyuk. Now, Aiyuk was one of the more difficult evaluations in this wide receiver class because he made so many of his big plays against off-coverage. He's not a guy you see take a ton of reps against press, so that does kind of make me question his instant impact.

However, he's got some similarities to Deebo Samuel, the receiver they drafted last year. And obviously, we trust Kyle Shanahan after proving it over and over again that he can put guys like this in a position to succeed. So I really think Aiyuk can make some big plays here in year 1 even if he's not going to be a consistent fantasy option by any means.

He's probably just on the fringe in terms of draft-ability in redraft leagues. This is not a situation where he's going to make a ton of production happen for your fantasy team in year 1. But I think if there's a guy, if there's a coach who can make Aiyuk a successful long-term NFL wide receiver, it is Kyle Shanahan. So for him, it's a big win in terms of landing spot. But again, not the greatest fantasy pick here by any means
