Actress Eve Plumb will forever be remembered for shouting her older sister’s name on The Brady Bunch, giving middle children everywhere representation, and after 15 years, she’s reunited with Maureen McCormick (aka Marcia Brady) and the rest of her onscreen siblings for HGTV’s A Very Brady Renovation.

Starring in its third episode, titled “Orange You Glad It's Avocado?” Eve helps brother-and-sister duo, Leanne and Steve Ford—stars of Restored by the Fords—recreate the kitchen and family room she grew up on at Paramount’s Stage 5, but this time inside the iconic Brady Bunch house. Although she’s not afraid to get down and dirty, the California native also lends a different kind of skill set.

Famously known as Jan Brady, Eve continued acting after The Brady Bunch wrapped up its fifth and final season in 1974, and along the way, she discovered a hidden passion—painting. “I started painting because I needed something to do in between jobs,” she told HGTV. “I just kept at it and asking other artists until I liked it well enough to put it up on the wall.”

Working out of her studio in the New York City apartment she shares with her husband, Ken Pace, Eve has more than two decades of painting experience and has had her work featured in various galleries. The self-taught artist focuses on still life, capturing objects and moments she comes across in her everyday life and while traveling for acting jobs.

An overview of Eve’s current work shows a mix of fruits catching the light, snapshots of restaurant seats and food condiments on checkered tables, not to mention well-known aspects of New York City life, like those iconic Fishs Eddy bowls. But the 61-year-old has also branched out to paint scenes from classic Film Noir and Western movies.

In the latest episode of A Very Brady Renovation, the actress works one-on-one with Leanne Ford to find the exact green paint color once used for the kitchen chairs, completing the Brady’s avocado-green-and-orange décor.

Although this is the first episode centering around Eve, HGTV viewers already caught a glimpse of her artwork—in the second episode, she painted a replica of one of the artworks originally displayed in the girls’ bedroom, even signing it “Jan B.”

Now, fans can buy their own limited-edition print of it, along with two other paintings she created for the family room, depicting European street scenes.

“I don’t want to hold onto them,” Eve said to HGTV about her finished art. “I want people to enjoy them. It’s always such a thrill when someone buys a painting and wants to have it in their house.”
