2019 has been full of highs and lows for Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk, but is there one major low still waiting to hit them hard? Fans are speculating about a Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk breakup after a new source came forward with insider information about the state of the couple’s relationship. We hope it’s not true because, if it is, this would be totally heartbreaking.
A source apparently close to Cooper and Shayk spoke with Entertainment Tonight about the state of the couple’s relationship. According to them, things are not great! “Bradley and Irina have been unhappy in their relationship for some time and have tried to make it work,” the source told ET. “They both want the best for their daughter, but seem to be coming to terms with the fact that staying together might not be for the best.”

The source also referenced rumors about an alleged affair between Cooper and his A Star Is Born costar Lady Gaga and how the speculation might have put a strain on his relationship with Shayk.
“Things were difficult before Bradley started filming A Star Is Born but his dedication to his work while making the movie only made things harder at home. The constant speculation about Bradley’s relationship with Gaga — while things were difficult at home — didn’t help the situation. But his relationship with Gaga is not the issue. They have many daily issues as parents and as professionals and have been fighting,” the source commented.
According to the source, things apparently got so rough between Cooper and Shayk — who have been dating since 2015 and share daughter, Lea de Seine Cooper Shayk, 2 — that they considered splitting temporarily while he was filming A Star Is Born. “Their troubles have been going on for quite some time and they even considered splitting during the release of the movie,” the source said. “They talked things through a great deal and seemed to hold off and keep up appearances for the time being. It was recommended they delay a split at what seemed to be the peak of his career because the negative attention would take away from the excitement of the release.”
Right now, the possibility of a breakup between Cooper and Shayk is very real, with the source concluding, “Bradley and Irina are trying to work it out, and their friends are still holding out hope, but it doesn’t look good and friends are concerned [the relationship] won’t last.”
Neither Cooper nor Shayk has released statements about the state of their relationship — for better or for worse — at this time. The couple is quite private and chooses not to share too much from their personal lives on social media (Shayk’s Instagram is practically devoid of evidence of Cooper or Lea). Despite the couple’s public silence on what their deal is, it would be hasty to assume that their headed for Splitsville. We have no idea who this source is or just how true their comments are.
Fingers crossed this source’s claims remain claims, and Cooper and Shayk find a way to stay strong — together.
