Brad Pitt Just Teased a ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ Netflix Series

You may not have seen the last of Leonardo DiCaprio in a scraggly fake mustache or Brad Pitt in just a cowboy hat and jeans...

Earlier this week, Pitt teased the potential of Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood being turned into a miniseries for Netflix, according to the New York Times writer Kyle Buchanan, saying it was a "a pretty arousing idea.”

Just as Tarantino did for The Hateful Eight (he broke that film into a four-part miniseries for Netflix, which included the extra footage that was cut before its theatrical release), the director could release Once Upon a Time in Hollywood with the extended deleted scenes. The entire film ran four hours and 20 minutes, before it was trimmed down for theaters to two hours and 40 minutes, according to IndieWire.

“It’s almost the best of both worlds,” Pitt said of Tarantino’s idea to release The Hateful Eight on Netflix as a miniseries. “You have the cinema experience that exists, but you can actually put more content in the series format.”

The Sony Pictures Entertainment movie takes place in 1969 in Los Angeles. In addition to DiCaprio, Pitt and Margot Robbie (as Sharon Tate), the film also stars Lena Dunham (Girls), Austin Butler (Switched at Birth), Lorenza Izzo (Knock Knock), Maya Hawke (Stranger Things), Damian Lewis (Homeland), Luke Perry (Riverdale), Dakota Fanning (The Alienist), Clifton Collins Jr. (Westworld), Timothy Olyphant (Santa Clarita Diet) and Kurt Russell (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2).

It follows washed-up TV star Rick Dalton (DiCaprio) and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Pitt), who happen to live next door to Robbie's Sharon Tate. The movie hit theaters this past July, but was missing a few iconic scenes from the movie trailers, like Robbie swimming in a pool, as well as a very poignant scene with 10-year-old actress Julia Butters that would've won her an Oscar, according to producer David Heyman via IndieWire.

If the Netflix series does happen, these scenes will probably be added back in to the story.

So, more Brad shirtless shots then? Asking for a friend...
