Two-time Oscar winner Quentin Tarantino has been teasing his next film, The Movie Critic, for a while, and finally, new details have emerged.

Set to follow an irreverent critic in 1970s California who reviews mainstream movies for a porno magazine the film is expected to star Brad Pitt, Deadline reveals.

The Movie Critic is said to have been inspired by Tarantino's teenage years when he uncovered a porn magazine with a section about movies.

Little more is out there about it currently, but rumor has it this will be Tarantino's final film.

He has said for years that he intends to wrap up moviemaking by age 60, and - having now reached that age - it is confirmed that The Movie Critic will be his tenth and final film.

Tarantino did, however, say in an interview out of the 2023 Cannes Film Festival that he has not ruled out endeavors such as television, plays, short films and writing projects.

The director's previous work includes Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction and Django Unchained.

Pitt and Tarantino have collaborated previously on Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood and Inglourious Basterds. Pitt also starred in True Romance, penned by Tarantino but directed by Tony Scott.
