Brad Pitt is offering more insight into his future acting plans.

During the Bullet Train premiere, the actor attempted to clear the air about comments he made suggesting he was nearing retirement.

The 58-year-old seemed surprised when asked about his impending plans to call it quits, stating that it was all a misunderstanding.

“I really have to work on my phrasing,” the actor told Deadline with a laugh when asked to elaborate on comments he made in a recent GQ interview where he suggested he was in the “last semester or trimester” of his career.

"No, I was just saying I’m past middle age and I want to be specific about how I spend those last days, however they may be," he clarified further.

In the June magazine profile, the Academy Award winner revealed that he considers himself to be on the “last leg” of his career, but turns out, he simply meant that he was trying to envision what his final chapter in Hollywood would look like.

In fact, he doesn’t have any specific retirement goals in mind.

“I’ve never been a five year plan kind of guy. I’m just, whatever feels right for the day. I still operate that way,” he explained while donning a lime green outfit on the red carpet.

The actor has a lot in the works at the moment, starting with the action/thriller drama Bullet Train, where he stars as Ladybug, an unlucky assassin determined to do his job without stirring up any trouble.

There’s also a mysterious—still untitled—George Clooney and Jon Watts project on his IMDB page that is listed as being in pre-production.

Off-screen, Pitt is putting in work as a producer on several titles that are either completed, in pre-production, or already announced.

So, it’s safe to say that we’ll be seeing plenty more of the Ocean’s Thirteen star, even if he plans to keep everyone on their toes in the last hurrah of his storied, 35-year movie career.

Heck, Pitt is even experimenting with his fashion choices as of late. When asked about his decision to rock a skirt to Bullet Train’s Berlin premiere, the star told Variety, “I don’t know! We’re all going to die, so let’s mess it up.”

That definitely feels like the motto for the rest of 2022 and beyond!
