Brad Pitt Calls His Personal Life "Trash Mag Fodder"

Just because it's in every magazine doesn't make it "trash mag fodder," but that's how Brad Pitt described his personal life during an appearance on Marc Maron's podcast, WTF With Marc Maron. Pitt was on the show with his Once Upon a Time ... In Hollywood co-star Leonardo DiCaprio (LDC for those in the know) and when they got started talking about dating and love, Pitt said his personal life was a "disaster."

During the interview, Maron asked Pitt and DiCaprio exactly when they realized that they were famous. For DiCaprio, it involved a film called Titanic. That moment of reflection seemed to hit something with Pitt, because he started to talk about how tabloids cover his romantic life and not his professional work.

"I'm a little disgruntled with you," he said. "I'm just like, trash mag fodder. I don't know ... because of my disaster of a personal life, probably."

Marie Claire adds that Pitt talked about that personal life during the Golden Globes, saying, "I wanted to bring my mom [to the Globes], but I couldn't, because any woman I stand next to they say I'm dating." The public's obsession with his personal life was apparent on the red carpet, too, when Pitt mentioned that everyone was hoping to get a photo of him with his ex, Jennifer Aniston. Though he seemed to be a good sport about the entire thing — he seemed to be in a joking mood at the show and with DiCaprio during the interview — calling his life a "disaster" may be taking things too far.

"I'll run into Jen, she's a good friend. Yeah," he told Entertainment Tonight. "The second most important reunion of her year? I understand. [...] That was a play on Friends. They were saying that."
