McDonald’s just announced the newest toy that will come with their infamous Happy Meals, and there’s no point in burying the lede because OMG. The fast food chain is about to serve their Happy Meals with Squishmallows. So starting Dec. 26, and while supplies last, parents and caregivers are going to have an even harder time keeping their kids away from McDonald’s since they’re partnering with what is basically this generation’s version of the Beanie Baby.

If you’ve somehow missed the Squishmallows craze (and no, we’re not being dramatic by calling it that), they’re these ultra-popular plush round toys that come in different sizes and characters (our favorite this year was the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus).

“We’re all about connecting our fans to culture and Squishmallows are some of the hottest toys out there right now,” said Tariq Hassan, McDonald’s USA Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer in a press release. “This collaboration welcomes McDonald’s and Squishmallow fans alike to enjoy this one-of-a-kind experience with the first McDonald’s Squishmallows Squad.”

As if the stuffies weren’t cool enough on their own, each character from the Happy Meal collection will come with a “unique playlist” — curated to match each character’s “unique and fun personality” — that can be accessed via the QR code on the Happy Meal box.

So yeah, kids and kidults are about to go [even more] bonkers for burgers since they’re being served up with the must-have plushies. The only bright side to the ensuing McDonald’s madness? At a Happy Meal price, it might be worth snagging mini Squishmallows at your local McDonald’s.

But fear not, if you’re saying no to fast food and wanting a bigger size, you can still save big on Squishmallows. Right now, Target is selling some at half off!
