Israel Broussard got thrust into the spotlight after the release of To All the Boys I've Loved Before last week. These days, that means someone is undoubtedly looking through your old social media, and for Israel, this brought up a lot of unsavory stuff.

In no time, tweets were found of Israel saying he would not audition for a role because the character was gay, and that the only goal of the Black Lives Matter movement is division...

Another extremely racist tweet was found that read, "Dogs can sense earthquakes. Too bad Japan ate them all." This one was extremely upsetting to some, considering his role in the groundbreaking To All the Boys, which features an Asian-American lead.

On top of that, many of his Twitter likes were found to be very controversial, with one claiming the Sandy Hook Massacre was staged.

Israel has since issued an apology regarding his past Twitter activity. "I am deeply sorry for my inappropriate and insensitive words and likes on social media," he wrote on Twitter. "I take full responsibility for my actions and I sincerely apologize. This has ben a pivotal life lesson for me. I am dedicated to becoming a more informed and educated version of myself. Much love."
