"To All the Boys I've Loved Before" Features a Magical Nightgown

While we love all the fashion in To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, there’s one look from the Netflix movie that’s taken over the internet. And it’s so simple. That is, of course, because it’s one of our ultimate go-tos: a slip dress. Well, it’s technically a nightgown, but the boudoir trend is taking on so much steam that we would totally wear it IRL too. In the movie, Lara Jean gets in the hot tub wearing said sleepwear, only to emerge later with it nearly completely dry. And, let’s just say, the internet cannot handle it.

In Buzzfeed’s round-up of all of the looks from the show, they aptly wrote, “THE NIGHTGOWN THE NIGHTGOWN THE NIGHTGOWN THE NIGHTGOWN THE NIGHTGOWN THE NIGHTGOWN HOW DID IT DRY SO FAST? THE NIGHTGOWN THE NIGHTGOWN THE NIGHTGOWN THE NIGHTGOWN.” We’re definitely in agreement with this one. Knowing how long it takes even a swimsuit to dry after jumping out of the pool, it seems understandable that this miracle dress has gotten the attention of fans for its power to go from soaking wet to dry in a matter of seconds. Ah, the magic of television.

Twitter is equally confused, as one user writes, “How did Lara Jean’s nightgown dry that f***ing fast I still can’t wrap my head around this. Another asked, “Am I the only one who got pissed on how Lara Jean’s nightgown dried up so quickly?” A third hysterically asked all the questions, tweeting, “Yes that spa scene in To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before is incredible but how did Lara Jean dry her nightgown after the spa? Did she go straight to bed with a wet nightgown? Wasn’t she cold?? Did she find a bathroom and put it under a hand dryer???”

We have yet to find this magical drying power in our own lives, but we’ll keep you posted if this unicorn of a nightgown fabric ever comes across our desks. In the meantime, we’re going to just have to trust in the power of Hollywood.
