Boyfriend's Hilarious Concealer-Swatching "Technique" Is Going Viral
Concealer shopping isn't easy no matter your level of makeup expertise — and one viral tweet is proving just how difficult it can be. After a user with the handle @badgalariiii, aka “Black Elle Woods,” asked her boyfriend to buy concealer, she threw in one additional request: “I told him to show it to me on his hand so I could see the color," she wrote.
Her boyfriend did send her a picture of the concealer, but instead of swatching it, he placed the entire tube on top of his hand. Palm, meet forehead. We’re taking an educated guess that this isn’t exactly what she meant. Since sharing the photo, @badgalariiii's post has been retweeted almost 33,000 times and liked more than 122,000 times. It seems her boyfriend has gained some unintentional fans.
This isn't the first time a makeup shopping trip has gone viral because someone's S.O. made an honest mistake. One beauty aficionada asked her husband for "a highlighter and a brush," adding that she preferred Fenty Beauty but "was open to anything that popped." Imagine her surprise when he came home with Sharpie highlighters and a Goody brush. Jaw, meet floor.
I wish there were a vlogger-for-hire who could accompany makeup novices on shopping trips or an app that could translate instructions ("When she says 'banana baking powder,' don't look for it at the grocery store").
