Boyden Cavern in Sequoia National Forest is now open

SEQUOIA NATIONAL FOREST, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Boyden Cavern inside Sequoia National Forest is open again, according to the U.S. Forest Service on Friday.

Officials say that visitors can once more tour the marble carven, located inside Sequoia National Forest. According to the Boyden Cavern’s website, the cavern features stalactites, stalagmites, flowstones, pendants and shields.

Walking tours last 45 to 60 minutes round trip and departure times vary based on availability during the season. Officials say that it’s a short but steep hike to the cave features spectacular views of the steepest part of Kings Canyon.
