When 10-year-old Jacob O'Connor saw his two-year-old brother, Dylan, fall into his grandma's pool, the older brother did something remarkable.

According to a report from WXYZ, he thought of a scene from the movie San Andreas in which Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's character saves a character's life after she almost drowns. The young boy saw his brother face down in the pool, pulled him out and started giving him compressions. Jacob stayed calm as he worked on his brother, then ran for his grandmother, who called 911 and continued CPR on Dylan.

Doctors weren't sure if Dylan, who had been facedown in the water for nearly a full minute, would fully recover—but the younger brother's life was saved thanks to Jacob's quick thinking.

The older brother is being hailed as a hero—not just by the public, but also by the actor who inspired his actions. The Rock even tweeted his admiration for Jacob after the incident.

"Thank you media friends for covering such an inspiring story. What a brave (and calm) 10yr old boy in the face of that heightened distress," the actor tweeted.

What an amazing story—we are so glad Dylan survived this scary accident, and that his big brother was able to draw inspiration from the movie to save his life!
