I Bought Kate Middleton’s Go-To Pumps & They’re Surprisingly Comfortable

Confession: I’m a total wimp when it comes to wearing heels. It’s not that I don’t enjoy adding a few inches to my height, it’s that my blister-prone feet can’t physically handle being shoved into a tilted sole.

Although I was hesitant about splurging on a pair of pumps, I knew I needed something that I could wear to just about anything…and not have to worry about recovering from aching feet and blistered toes.

So, I turned to Kate Middleton, who is basically immune to pain (or so it seems). You see, the Duchess of Cambridge, 37, regularly wears heels to events and has even been photographed playing sports in stilettos on multiple occasions.

I decided to put her shoe wardrobe to the test and purchased L.K. Bennett’s Floret Pumps, a pair that Middleton has frequently worn over the years. (Picture above.)

After breaking them in by strolling around the house, I wore the heels to a wedding, which was a risky move altogether. Don’t worry, I brought a pair of flats in my purse…just in case.

Much to my surprise, the pumps held up for the entirety of the night, even though I was initially worried about my poor claustrophobic toes.

In total, I spent seven hours on my feet, and yes, they were sore by the end of the night. However, I managed to steer clear of any other casualties, which is a victory in and of itself.

L.K. Bennett’s Floret Pumps are currently available for purchase online and come in six different colors/styles: trench, tan, warm grey, black suede, black leather and marshmallow lace. Prices range from $103 to $295, depending on your selection.

Worth the splurge, indeed.
