Botetourt County showcasing area’s fun outdoor fun at annual BOCO Wild

BOTETOURT COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) –Botetourt County Parks & Rec and the Department of Wildlife Resources are working together to the best of what the outdoors has to offer during the third annual BOCO Wild at the Buchanan Town Park on Saturday, June 8.

Previously known as the Botetourt Fishing Carnival, BOCO Wild celebrates all the great outdoor recreation in the Botoetourt area. Guests will be able to explore and learn about a wide range of activities available such as wildlife education, hunting safety, hiking, river activities, the event’s popular fishing instruction, and so much more.

Blue Ridge Parkway begins transition for summer operations

Bototetourt County says the first 400 participants 15 and under to check in for the event will receive a free T-shirt and lunch.

The event is still looking for sponsors and volunteers to help ensure the event runs smoothly.
