Boston Police Dog Barks to 'Sweet Caroline' and Tourists Go Wild

This might be the most Boston dog ever.

Legend has it, that in 1997 the person in charge of music at Boston's Fenway Park played the iconic Neil Diamond hit Sweet Caroline to honor one of his friends who just had a baby and named her Caroline. Since then, the song has always been played at Red Sox's games at the bottom of the eighth. It's just one of those traditions that gets all the fans to sign along during ball games.

Well, fans aren't the only ones who sign along to this incredibly catchy tune, as caught on video by @Mobsters_and_lobsters. Just watch the following clip and get your Bah Bah Bah's ready!

This legendary police dog is a true American hero! @Mobsters_and_lobsters explains, "At Red Sox games during the seventh inning stretch, everyone sings Sweet Caroline! We were at Fenway playing the song and the pup just jumped in!" @JM replies, "Absolutely most adorable best thing I’ve seen in a while!! Stay safe!!" @Goldpeaksweetie5 adds, "That sweet boy understood the assignment. Boston K9s are just born different." @Mousey007 says, "He had to take a break from policing to tune into his jam!"

If you couldn't love this song, and this doggo, any more, another touching aspect of this hit is that since the horrible Boston Bombings in 2013, Diamond has been donating proceeds from the song to One Fund Boston. WROR reports, In 2014, the fund announced it was shutting down it’s operations, after raising and distributing almost $80 million to more than 200 victims of the tragedy.

So much to love here, Neil Diamond, Boston, and this amazingly adorable dog!
