These Boozy Ice Pops Are the Perfect Summer Refreshment

We can all agree that freezer pops—otherwise known as freezies, ice pops, Fla-Vor-Ice and Otter pops—are the perfect treat on a hot summer day. But they just got better and boozier.

Since summer 2020 is still very much in limbo amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it looks as though our days will consist of hanging at home in front of the air conditioner and, if we’re lucky, hosting social distancing hangs in our backyards (while wearing face masks, of course).

Thankfully, there’s a delicious new refreshment on the market that might make this summer feel a little more…like summer.

Cutwater Spirits, a San Diego-based company known for their ready-to-enjoy canned cocktails, just launched a new adult-friendly product called Frozen Cocktail Spirit Pops to give us an alcoholic version of the classic frozen snack. (Yep, your favorite frozen childhood treat has made the journey to adulthood with you.)

Essentially, they're exactly like an ice pop, except they contain seven percent alcohol and come in a variety of distilled flavors, including Lime Margarita, Rum & Cola, Vodka Mule, and Gin Melon. Plus, they're gluten-free, feature all-natural flavors, contain no artificial sweeteners, and have less than 80 calories per pop.

Sounds great right? Did we mention they're also super Instagrammable?

These ice pops are now available nationwide for $25 per 12-pack, so if you’re looking to cool off (with a boozy twist), this one’s for you.

However, if freezies are not your thing, there are a ton of other summer refreshments making waves right now. Not only are White Claw slushies a hot trend on TikTok, but Truly Hard Seltzer recently announced it has partnered with alcoholic ice cream maker Tipsy Scoop to launch a line of delicious seltzer-infused ice creams and sorbet.

They come in a variety of tasty flavors, including Strawberry Lemonade Sorbet, Mango Lemonade Sorbet, Lemonade Ice Cream, and Black Cherry Lemonade Ice Cream. Yummy.
