A Boozier Alternative To Aldi's Cult-Favorite Coconut Wine Is Now Available

In 2020, flavored wines became all the rage, and more specifically, the alcoholic options available at some Aldi stores. One of the wines that absolutely broke the internet was Aldi's coconut wine and there's a new boozy version of the drink available at the grocery chain right now.

The cult-favorite item was the Petit Coconut Wine Specialty that was a blend of white wine with coconut flavor and cream. Folks were drinking it alone 0r on ice, but true Aldi fans have found ways to mix it with rum and juice for a frozen beverage or into bags of frozen fruit for "Adult Juice Boxes." This year, the Coco Bay Specialty is available in stores and offers a more rum-forward flavor than the wine.

Bottles of Coco Bay's Coconut Specialty suggest using it as a base for Piña Coladas or mixing it with orange juice for a tropical-inspired cocktail. Each 750-mL bottle can be found in Aldi alcohol aisles where liquor sales are permitted in their grocery stores, so you can pick up some of your other Aldi favorites during your trip.

This summer Aldi is chock-full of seasonal picks like the bottled mango bellini and pineapple mimosas, as well as snacks like street corn-flavored tortilla chips and Cuban sandwich-style pizza. All of this is to say if you weren't sure what to put on your grocery list this week you have tons of options to choose from. How sweet it is!
