Sneha Ullal — popular to Indian audience as the doppelganger of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan — was recently spotted in Mumbai at the screening of the movie A Dog’s Purpose. The hazel-eyed beauty opted for a casual look for the occasion, and her photos prove she hasn’t changed much over the years.

Sneha hasn’t been active in the movies since 2015, her last movie being Bezubaan Ishq. These days, she dedicates her time fighting for the cause of animals, and her social media profile often features adoption appeals and awareness posts.

With the perpetuity of the ‘lookalike’ tag to her name, Sneha was denied an opportunity to evolve as an actress in Bollywood, and besides, her acting skills weren’t impressive either. Hailing from Mangalore like Aishwarya, Sneha was launched in Bollywood by Salman Khan in Lucky: No Time for Love (2005). Salman picked the then obscure 20-year-old as his heroine solely because of her uncanny resemblance with his ex-girlfriend, something that served as a double-edged sword for the actress.

Sneha’s debut movie was a flat-out dud, and for the next two movies that followed, the story wasn’t much different. Besides her striking similarity with the beauty queen that made her the talk of the tinseltown, there wasn’t much zest associated to her name. She has always been regarded a copycat, and that status is less likely to change.

Sneha had some luck with the regional movies, especially Telugu movies, which prompted her to shift her focus to the South. In 2015, she made a comeback to Bollywood with Bezubaan Ishq, but that failed to get good reviews.

The ravishing actress maintains an active Instagram profile, where she uploads sensuous photos often, some of which can be really confusing with that of Aishwarya’s. Sneha has always taken her likeness to the Bollywood queen in a positive note; the photos from her social media profile that often mimics Aishwarya’s signature poses, bear testimony that she doesn’t want to outgrow that image.
