Bojangles Just Brought Back a Discontinued Fan-Fave Menu Item

At last, "the biggest crime of 2022" has been resolved.

Bojangles has been making a lot of exciting changes lately. This fast-food chain from the South, known for its Cajun fried chicken and perfectly seasoned fries, recently announced it is coming to the West and bringing its beloved chicken to more states nationwide.

Now, the chain is adding more good news to the mix: It’s returning a discontinued item that fans have been begging for a return and giving them several ways to enjoy it.

Bojangles’ Bo Sauce Makes a Comeback

Bojangles is returning its famous Bo Sauce to its menu and launching a bottled version for grocery stores.

Bo Sauce is a flavorful mix of sweet and tangy, with an extra creamy texture that is a favorite condiment alongside items such as Chicken Supremes and fries.

“Back by popular demand, Bo Sauce is now available in restaurants to pair with all your favorite menu items,” said Tom Boland, chief marketing officer at Bojangles, in a press release. “Bo Sauce has been a fan favorite for years, and we are delighted to bring our signature sauce with a creamy, bold bite.”

Fans were devastated when Bojangles took its Bo Sauce off the menu in 2022. According to the company’s website, it received over 24,000 pleas on X (formerly known as Twitter) to bring it back, with one fan calling the absence “the biggest crime of 2022 (#devastated)” while another added, “Every day is dry without Bo Sauce.”

Now, fans can rejoice and enjoy this beloved sauce again at participating Bojangles locations or when they order online through the Bojangles app or website.

Bo Sauce lovers can also pick up a 14-ounce bottle (or several!) at their local grocery stores alongside bottles of Bojangles’ signature Honey Mustard and BBQ Sauce.

However, these three bottled sauces are currently only available in stores throughout the Southeast, including Piggly Wiggly, Food Lion, Lowes Foods, and others.
