This Body Mask Is the Best Way to Get Rid of Those Little Bumps on Your Arms

One of my friends has the softest skin you’ve ever felt. Seriously, you just want to pet her, which I’m realizing is an odd (and borderline creepy) thing to say about a friend, but when you’re as obsessed with skin care as I am, you notice these sorts of things.

Anyway, back to my silky soft pal. I’ve grilled her numerous times over the years on how she keeps her skin—specifically her upper arms—so smooth. Her answer is always the same: She just puts lotion on every day. I put lotion on (almost) every day; my arms have never felt like a flower petal. So unfair.

Then, I started using the True Botanicals Body Resurfacing Mask. Now I’m the weirdo who is walking around asking friends and colleagues to “feel my arm!” every chance I get. Lucky them, right?

One look at the ingredient list and it starts to make sense. It’s packed with many of the MVPs of my favorite face serums: lactic acid, glycerin, green tea extract and a host of hydrating oils. Translation: It exfoliates and moisturizes at the same time. It also feels like a serum: light, slightly sticky and gel-like.

Once or twice a week, I apply it to dry skin (emphasis on the dry), let it absorb for ten minutes, then rinse it all off in the shower. Unlike grainy scrubs, which I’ve always found to be too messy to use, this leaves no residue behind in your bathtub.

But back to the way it makes your skin feel. Scaly legs? Gone. Sandpapery arms? A distant memory. Think less elephant hide and more baby seal. I feel like an A-list celebrity prepping for awards season. Bring on the strapless and thigh-split dresses! My skin—if nothing else—is ready.
