Where was Paint filmed?

According to Saratoga Living, Paint was entirely filmed in and around Saratoga Springs. Known for its horse races and mineral springs, the small city is located in Upstate New York. The movie tapped various spots in the area for its quaint backdrops. Houses on Circular Street in Saratoga Springs can be seen as Nargle drives around town in a custom van. His art studio is actually a barn in Greenfield Center, a hamlet in Saratoga County, while the building where he works is the local WMHT television station.

The outlet notes a number of other locations throughout the film, including Lucy’s Bar, Desperate Annie’s, Olde Bryan Inn, the Lincoln Baths, and Hidden Lake Girl Scout Camp.

Should watching the film make you eager to consume real Bob Ross content, all 31 seasons of his widely beloved show The Joy of Painting are available to watch on YouTube. Or if it puts you in the mood to plan a small-town getaway to Saratoga Springs, the city features many more must-see spots. There's the Saratoga Race Course, which is the oldest active sporting venue in the country, as well as the Roosevelt Baths and Spa at the Gideon Putnam Resort, where guests can relax. And while you're at it, consider adding design-forward locations in the Hudson Valley to your itinerary for even more fun.
