BMX Rider Pays The Price On Risky Bridge Gap

BMX riders and body protection have an estranged relationship, to say the least, which is puzzling considering they are the ones throwing some of the biggest tricks on the least fun surfaces to crash on.

Take a look at an incredibly unpleasant looking example of why some gear may come in handy in the clip below.

First off, major props are in order here for Mike Hoder, because that gap is absolutely insane. Not many would touch that thing with a ten foot pole.

Secondly, how do you gauge speed for a feature when the only run in you have is a dirt bike towing you in to the point of no return?

And finally, that looked like it sucked and hurt so much. I could not even begin to imagine how his elbow was feeling after basically falling off of a house straight onto it. All I can say on that front is, "no thanks."
