Bluezone is turning 20.

The Munich-based trade show will celebrate the milestone at its fully booked July 18-19 event. More than 100 denim and sportswear specialists will exhibit at the show, which is taking about one month earlier than its usual summer schedule. Munich Fabric Start and The Source will take place alongside the denim show.

Sebastian Klinder, managing director of Bluezone organizer Munich Fabric Start Exhibitions GmbH, said the anniversary confirms how the trade show “offers the successful business platform the denim industry is expecting.”

There will be plenty to celebrate at the show, especially as the blue jean turns 150 this year. Other notable milestones include Turkish mill Orta’s 70th anniversary and Brazilian mill Vicunha marking 55 years.

Exhibitors include Calik Denim, Denim Authority, Isko, Kurabo, Naveena Denim, NDL, Royo, Saitex and Sharabati.

Visitors can expect two seminar sessions by the Transformers Foundation as well as panels and talks with Women in Denim, Endrime founder Mohsin Sajid and The 5 Denim Senses by AMD Düsseldorf.

A photo exhibition by Bryan Szabo, founder of the Indigo Invitational, will highlight “The World’s Best Denim Fades.” There will also be an exhibition by designer Ksenia Schnaider and a special presentation by Ruedi Karrer, founder of The Jeans Museum in Zurich.

As usual, an outdoor area will provide a meeting spot for networking and the show party will take place on July 18 on the Zenith grounds.

“With its elaborate staging and professional working atmosphere, Bluezone is the denim place to be,” Klinder said. “Both on the part of the visitors and on the part of the exhibitors, the right people are in the right place at the right time in Munich.”
