Blue Heeler Puppy Has the Most Heartbreaking Reaction to Owner Packing for College

Having a family dog can be such a blessing for everyone at home. It can make a major difference for kids and teenagers to have a best friend to rely on, especially when school gets tough. At some point, though, many kids leave home for college.

As exciting as this new phase of life can be, it can be heartbreaking to leave a beloved fur baby at home. Just ask @chloerenayy. Chloe was packing for school when her family's Blue Heeler puppy did the sweetest--and most heartbreaking--thing.

Aww! I have no idea how Chloe isn't sobbing her eyes out after finding the little Australian Cattle Dog curled up in her suitcase. That would've had me rethinking everything! And I've been there--it wasn't that long ago that I was in this exact position.

My parents and I adopted our cockapoo when I was starting high school, and it broke my heart to have to move out when college came around. Honestly, proximity to my pup played a major role in my school choice, too! Even though I saw him some weekends, saying goodbye on Sunday night never got any easier. Chloe--I feel for you!

This tiny puppy made a big dent in my heart, but I know I'm not the only one feeling heartbroken for both Chloe and her pup. One commenter named Jordan is in an eerily similar position.

She wrote, "Stop! My family just got a blue heeler and I leave for college in 9 days, I’m so sad--I love him!" Are you and Chloe living the same life? Seriously, though, it's so hard to leave a family pet behind to go to university, but it's also comforting to know that other young pet owners have been through it, too. We're proof that, while goodbyes are difficult, everyone is going to be just fine!
