Blue Bloods star Donnie Wahlberg left an unbelievable tip for his waitress at IHOP.
His wife, Jenny McCarthy posted a photo of the receipt with a sweet caption.
Donnie Wahlberg just made someone’s entire year, and it’s only January 2.
The Blue Bloods star and his wife Jenny McCarthy enjoyed their first meal of 2020 at—where else?—an IHOP near their home in Illinois. We assume he filled up on pancakes and hash browns (he is the Reagan that eats the most at family dinners, after all) but the real magic came after he finished his food.
The Masked Singer judge posted a photo of their receipt, and followers were shocked to see that Donnie left a $2,020 tip for his waitress, Bethany. “Donnie Wahlberg starting 2020 off like the amazing man he is,” Jenny captioned the post. She also added the hashtags, “ihop” and “2020tipchallenge.”

Fans were blown away by Donnie’s generosity, as the tweet received over 7,000 likes and nearly 650 responses. “What a heart of gold,” one person wrote. “Makes want to cry happy tears,” said another. “Thank you Donnie for spreading your love and positivity with others,” one follower praised.
If you can believe it, this isn’t the first time Donnie has left an amazing tip for someone. In 2017, he reportedly left $2,000 for the servers at a Waffle House in North Carolina.
“My mom waited tables, and my dad tended bars—for years!” he said at the time, according to CNN. “So when I walk into a #WaffleHouse and the staff treats me like a king, you better believe I treat them like queens!”
After hearing all this, we appreciate Donnie even more—for both his generosity, and his penchant for diner food.
