'Blue Bloods' Hinted a Reagan May be Leaving the Show and Fans Are Panicking

We’ve come to know and love Nicky Reagan (Sami Gayle), the daughter of Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan) on Blue Bloods. Whether she’s bickering with her mom or making all of us question her relationships, fans have gotten used to having Nicky at the weekly family dinners.

But in the Blue Bloods episode “The Price You Pay,” it was revealed that we may not be seeing Nicky as much. She’s taken a job in San Francisco, which might make it a little difficult to get to her family’s Brooklyn home for mashed potatoes every Sunday.

The Reagans all did their best to convince her to stay, like reminding her that she’s going to have to find a new pizza parlor and bagel joint. But that didn’t deter Nicky, who will be working with a startup that helps economically challenged neighborhoods.

The emotional scene concerned many viewers, as we were left to wonder if Nicky is leaving for good. Multiple social media users called her their favorite character, and said they already miss her.

Sami hasn’t shared any updates on social media to suggest that she won’t be returning. That leads us to believe she likely has a similar setup to Jack (Tony Terraciano) and will come back as her schedule allows. At least, that’s what we’re telling ourselves to keep from crying!
