This ‘Blue Bloods’ Actress Is Joining the Cast of ‘Manifest,' So Set Your DVRs Now

Blue Bloods is losing one of its popular actresses, but at least it's to a show as good as Manifest.

Yasha Jackson played Eddie Janko’s (Vanessa Ray) partner, Maya Thomas, in season 9 of Blue Bloods. She was a great counterpoint to Eddie, who always seemed to struggle with her tumultuous relationship with fiancé—and now husband—Jamie Reagan (Will Estes). Though Maya left the NYPD on rocky terms, she was still a great addition to last year’s episodes.

Now, Yasha is taking on another role in the second season of Manifest, the popular new NBC series that stars Josh Dallas. TVGuide reports Yasha will be a recurring character, and is likely to cause a little more drama for Josh’s Ben Stone.

Yasha will play Suzanne, Astoria University dean and Ben's ex-girlfriend. For fans of Manifest, you can likely guess that this might lead to rifts between Ben and his wife, Grace (Athena Karkanis). The outlet also adds that Grace's pregnancy, and the question of who is the father of her child, only adds to the confusion. Sounds like quite the predicament!

It sounds like Suzanne will be a bit different from Maya, but we're looking forward to watching her interact with the Manifest crew, as she'll likely get dragged into something involved with the Flight 828 incident.

With past roles on Ray Donovan, Black Mirror, and The Mysteries of Laura, Yasha is sure to quickly become a favorite on Manifest, which returns in 2020.
