Bloomtime Lunch and Learn events set for April 19, May 17

Apr. 16—Bloomtime Lunch and Learn events will be conducted by Kim Benton, County Extension Agent-Horticulture, at the Ruth B. Nichols Arboretum, 1014 S.E. Loop 456.

The informational meetings on gardening topics will begin at noon at the demonstration garden. Each event is expected to last approximately 45 minutes. The public is encouraged to bring lunch, bring questions and attend the discussions.

Roses will be the topic of the first monthly meeting slated for Friday, April 19.

The second meeting, set for Friday, May 17, will cover nectar plants for pollinators.

A third possible meeting may be conducted in June, depending on interest.

There is no cost to participate.

Benton said her plan is to conduct a series of Lunch and Learn meetings in the spring and again in the fall.

Whether one is a master gardener or just interested in knowing more about plants, all are welcome.
