Bloodborne Movie on the Way, Leak Suggests

There’s a Bloodbone movie on the way, and it could be coming sooner than you think, according to a well-known film scooper.

In a report by Daniel Richtman, a film news-breaker who professes to have inside access to Hollywood, Sony Pictures is adapting the much-loved PS4 video game from 2015. Apparently, it’s already got a producer in Lorenzo Di Bonaventura, and a writer in Darren Lemke.

Di Bonaventura helped produce, Transformer and G.I. Joe movies, as well DOOM and Dead Rising. Lemke’s credits include Shazam!, Gemini Man, The Wheel of Time, and Goosebumps.

In a post on Richtman’s Patreon, they write the supposed synopsis for the film, which reads: "Bloodborne follows the player's character, a Hunter, through the decrepit Gothic, Victorian-era-inspired city of Yharnam, whose inhabitants are afflicted with a blood-borne disease which transforms the residents, called Yharnamites, into horrific beasts. Attempting to find the source of the plague, the player's character unravels the city's mysteries while fighting beasts and cosmic beings."

While you should take the synopsis with a huge pinch of salt, any Bloodborne news at all is exciting for fans. Let's hope it doesn't have the same delays as the Scarface reboot that just hit a major roadblock.
