Bling Empire: New York was released just a few days ago, but the buzz surrounding the drama of where the season finale left off is just getting started.

The spinoff of the O.G. L.A.-based Bling Empire follows a group of ultra-rich, ultra-successful Asian Americans living life as socialites in the high society scene of New York City. Between power, competitiveness, and drama, what could possibly go wrong?

One of the more ~dramatic~ storylines surrounds Lynn Ban, an accomplished jewelry designer, and her husband and business partner of 27 years, Jett Kain, per TheCinemaholic. Their storyline covers their relationship and the relaunching of Lynn Ban Jewelry to the public post-pandemic.

Ahead, learn all you gotta know about Lynn and Jett, including their family, ages, business, and net worth.

Who is Lynn’s family?

Lynn was born into a wealthy family in Singapore. Her dad is David Ban, who launched Japanese restaurant Genki Sushi in Singapore and Hong Kong. He’s the executive director of Venus Assets, a developer based in Kuala Lumpur that owns Four Seasons Place in Malaysia, according to Lifestyle Asia.

Her mother is Patricia, a gemologist certified by the Gemological Institute of America who definitely helped influence her love of fashion, The Straits Times wrote.

Lynn moved around a lot before settling down in New York.

At four years old, Lynn moved with her fam to New York City when her dad was at Chase Manhattan Bank and studying in business school simultaneously, The Straits Times wrote. They moved every few years around the world, moving to Singapore again when she was a teen.

She graduated from the Gallatin School of Individualized Studies at New York University, majoring in art history and literature before launching Lynn Ban Vintage at Barneys New York in 2002, the outlet wrote. Maxfield, Dover Street Market, Net-A-Porter and Matches Fashion also picked up her first collection, Women’s Wear Daily wrote. By 2011, she closed it and created her jewelry business.

How did Lynn and Jett meet?

As legend (and TheCinemaholic) has it, they met in 1994 at a New Year’s Eve party. Lynn was a college student and Jett was an MTV reporter and producer at the time.

Apparently, she accidentally gave him the wrong number. But they ended up meeting again at a dinner with mutual friends, and the rest is history, the outlet reported. They got married a few years later and ended up working together, helping Genki Sushi move from Singapore and Hong Kong to the United States.

They have a teenage son, Sebastian, who is currently at boarding school in London, The Straits Times and TheCinemaholic wrote.

Lynn and Jett run her jewelry line together.

After working together on Genki Sushi’s expansion, they teamed up again to launch Lynn Ban Jewelry, according to TheCinemaholic.

Jett mostly works on press and marketing for Lynn Ban Jewelry. But he’s also a photographer, per TheCinemaholic. “He’s instrumental in building our brand. He’s responsible for the publicity and all the projects that we did,” she told The Straits Times.

Today, Some of her clients are v. high-end celebrity singer-songwriters, including Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Madonna, Post Malone, and Lady Gaga, per Lifestyle Asia and The Straits Times.

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Lynn had to pivot and focus on customized commissions for private clients. But she’s relaunching the brand to the public now, and the show covers some of that, according to Tatler Asia.

How old are Lynn Ban and Jett Kain?

Lynn is 50, while Jett is 54, per The Straits Times.

It’s unclear whether Lynn and Jett are together RN.

During the last episode of Bling Empire: New York, Jett reveals that he’s landed a job in L.A. and wants the whole family to move there together, according to TheCinemaholic. She was upset, and the season ends with this question: How will they work it out?

It’s unclear where they stand right now, honestly. Jeff isn’t on social media, per TheCinemaholic. And Lynn basically just posts pictures of herself and the celebs who wear her designs on her Instagram, as she should!

However, nothing’s come out about them splitting up, either.

What are their net worths?

Lynn’s net worth is reportedly $5 million, per Lifestyle Asia, while Jett’s is also predicted to be close to $5 million, per TheCinemaholic.
