Blind Cat Brings Mum a Present Before Bed and It's Totally Irresistible

Life with differently abled pets can be an absolute joy, especially when they're as sweet as this blind cat!

Moet the kitty has over 1 million followers on her TikTok account, @moetblindcat, thanks to her and her fur sister's adorable personality, but this video has got to be one of our favorites. It might be bedtime for Moet's mama, but the precious cat still brings over a cat toy 'gift' to get her attention. It's so cute!

Aww, Moet! Clearly, it means nothing to her that it's time for bed--and not just because she's blind. Sensing daylight is a big factor in an animal's circadian rhythm, but it seems like this fluffy cat is just looking for some attention from her mama.

"How cute," wrote commenter @annettes0121. "She is asking to play. Nothing is holding her back." You've got that right! Moet and her sister are thriving in their home, even if they navigate the world a bit differently.

As Central Texas Veterinary Hospital explains, any pet owner can make a few small adjustments in order to help blind cats stay safe and happy in their home.

- hazard-proof dangerous areas like stairs and doors

- keep furniture in the same place for your cat to get used to

- using sensory clues in important areas like the litter box

- keep food and water in the same place

- avoid carrying your cat (they won't know where they are!)

- try to avoid startling noise or touch

It might take a while for everyone to get used to life with a blind cat, but trust us--your kitty is trying to figure it out too! After an adjustment period, everyone will begin falling into their best routines, and it will feel as joyful as Moet's video.
