A few months ago I would have told you that when it comes to blenders, they're pretty much all the same. Sure, you could spring for a Vitamix, the Rolls Royce of the kitchen appliance category. But if you didn't want to spend upwards of $300 and also wanted something that looked acceptable to keep on your kitchen counter... well, there was not much you could do. But then in April, a good friend of mine told me I had to get the Beast. I'll be honest, the name didn't exactly make me feel like this was a well aligned acquisition. But acquire it, I did. And let me tell you, I have no regrets.

Let's talk aesthetics first. This blender is pretty. The hourglass shape and ribbed containers are feminine and, dare I say, elegant. That's definitely first. Beyond appearance, the details of the device are all well thought out. The base is solid, but the components aren't obtrusive. You're not going to be eating away counter space if you leave it out—and because it's pretty you might want to. Even better? The way that it actually blends. Whether I'm making a smoothie or blending salad dressing—or a cottage cheese chocolate pudding, my favorite!— it always turns out smooth and with consistent texture; no lumps or leftover chunks.

Further still, I love that the Beast comes with varied sizes of blending vessels. The smaller size is great for dressings, sauces, and single servings to save for later—which you can do because they also come with storage lids! Game changer. There's also a sipping lid for when you want to drink your smoothie right out of the vessel or take it on the go. This has drastically changed my morning routine, so much so that I rarely buy breakfast on my way to work anymore.

I am also obsessed with the infusion water bottle that comes with the hydration system that's part of the blender collection. It even has a handle so you can take it on the go with ease. If you don't want to make an infusion, you can simply remove the metal attachment for them almost effortlessly. Which brings me to the ease with which you can clean every single component in the Beast set. It's beyond. And that's saying something for an item which has pieces (like the blending blade attachment) which cannot be washed in the dishwasher.

All in all, I couldn't recommend the Beast more. I only wish that I owned it sooner.
