Blake Shelton's Reported 'The Voice' Salary Is Seriously Impressive

From Country Living

Blake Shelton is the longest-standing coach on The Voice, who happily competes with his girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, for the chance to mentor top vocalists. But The Voice isn’t fully responsible for his rise to fame. He's had a storied career in music long before he made it big on TV.

Blake was born in 1976 in Ada, Oklahoma. He left home at the age of 17 to pursue a country music career in Nashville. Eight years later, he had a recording contract and his first number one hit with the song, "Austin." Now Celebrity Net Worth estimates he’s worth $80 million. It should be noted, though, that in 2017 Forbes cited it as closer to $31.5 million. While it's hard to discern the exact number, we can look back on what made him such a success.

For one thing, he has his chart-topping music career.

Few artists have mastered the charts like Blake. After “Austin,” Blake went on to have 26 number one songs. This year alone, he had three singles certified gold or platinum, and fans are loving his latest releases like "Hell Right" and "Jesus Got a Tight Grip."

Blake’s album sales make him one of the top-selling country artists of all time. He’s sold more than 10 million albums worldwide. Blake’s major music success has allowed him to tour nine times.

Then there's all those TV appearances.

Six years after his first number one hit, Blake was asked to mentor hopefuls on television singing competitions. He began in 2007 as a judge on Clash of the Choirs and then Nashville Star.

Blake has been a coach on The Voice since the series began in 2011. He’s been with the show for all 17 seasons and it’s estimated he makes $4 million per season.

Plus, his other business ventures.

Between touring and taping The Voice, Blake still keeps himself busy with other projects. He appeared in the movie Pitch Perfect 2 as one of The Voice coaches, and starred as Ox in the 2019 cartoon UglyDolls. Blake has hosted Saturday Night Live and the Kids Choice Awards, and for five years he was the host of the Academy of Country Music Awards.

He’s also the owner of the Ole Red restaurant chain, which has three locations and a fourth planned for 2020.
