We get to see a lot of talented contestants during the Live Performances on The Voice-but they aren't the only ones who put on a good show. On Monday night, coach Blake Shelton earned a standing ovation when he sang his hit song "Turnin' Me On."

The sultry track off his latest album, Texoma Shore, is widely known to be about Blake's girlfriend, Gwen Stefani. The pair started dating in November 2015 and he has never been shy about expressing his feelings for the pop star. While Blake has openly admitted that Gwen was his muse for the song, the unabashed lyrics of the chorus speak for themselves:

"She's turning me on, turning me on / Pushing my buttons like it ain't no thing / If I'm what she wants, she gets what she wants / The neon's buzzing when she pulls that string / Turning me on like it's her job / Sometimes I think she must get off on / Turning me on, turning me on."

But when Carson Daly asked about the tune before Blake's performance, the country singer had a surprising response.

"Who inspired the song 'Turnin' Me On'?" Carson questioned The Voice mentor.

"You," Blake replied. "You, Carson." Neither of them could hold back their laughter during the exchange, and Carson said he doubted Blake's cheeky answer was true.

This wasn't the first time the host poked fun at the coaches on the show. Earlier this season, Carson called out Adam Levine for his "questionable" outfit after fans roasted his wardrobe on Twitter the night before. The veteran coach, who is infamous for his risky fashion choices, was unfazed by his costar's comment.

Still, we can only imagine the jokes that Carson has in store for Adam when he gets up on stage to perform on The Voice! 😂
