Blake Shelton Announces Drive-In Concert with Gwen Stefani and Trace Adkins

  • Blake Shelton is joining in on the virtual fun with the announcement of a drive-in concert series.

  • Blake shared on Instagram that he’ll be performing along with Gwen Stefani and Trace Adkins for a series of recorded drive-in performances.

  • While the performances aren’t live (unlike some of the other drive-in concerts currently going on), fans can’t wait.

Blake Shelton fans, summer just got a little bit better!

On Wednesday, July 8, Blake took to Instagram to announce that, with Gwen Stefani and Trace Adkins by his side, he’ll be offering a one-of-a-kind drive-in experience on July 25, all across North America.

While the performance won’t be live (unlike Brad Paisley’s Live From the Drive-In series), Blake’s fans couldn’t be more excited.

“Omg can’t wait!” one fan wrote. “I wanna go,” another chimed in.

In addition to top-notch music talent, the one-night-only show will feature interviews with Blake, Gwen, and Trace, along with a touch of storytelling. Best of all, instead of having to buy individual tickets, you and up to five of your friends can pool together for a single-vehicle ticket for just $114.99—which goes on sale on Tuesday, July 14.

“This is such a great way to enjoy music with your family and friends and stay safe,” Shelton said in the press release for the event. “I’m excited we’re getting the chance to perform a concert for fans and we’re going to go back and play old hits like ‘Austin,’ newer songs like ‘God’s Country’ and we might even introduce something brand new! So fill up those popcorn tubs and get ready for some country music!”

And, considering health is of concern given the current times, Encore is stepping up to ensure that each drive-in venue complies with CDC recommendations to keep all concert-goers as safe as possible. A few ways they’re doing this is by placing cars at least six feet apart, using contactless payment, and requiring staff to wear PPE.

This isn’t the first time Encore Live is offering pre-recorded, drive-in concert experiences. In July, they blessed fans with a performance by Garth Brooks.

Here’s to hoping even more shows are announced as the summer days roll on.
