  • Blake Moynes was taken by surprise when he found out Clare Crawley was ending The Bachelorette early to be with Dale Moss.

  • The decision affected Blake so much that he started to go bald from stress.

Remember how The Bachelorette production team basically had to scramble to figure out how Clare Crawley’s portion of the season would end because she decided to run off with Dale Moss after falling in love with him (in just 12 days, might I add)? Welp, turns out, the contestants were equally frazzled by Clare’s sudden decision too. Blake Moynes just went on the record about Clare wrapping up early and straight up admitted the move caused him to lose his luscious locks of hair.

“I was shocked [when they left together]. You saw me, I was distraught. I was literally, like, ‘What is going on?’ I couldn’t believe it because of the timeframe,” he said in an interview with Us Weekly. “Nothing made sense to me. Now it does. But at the time, I was literally shook. I was distraught. I started stress balding in the shower because I didn’t know that was going on.”

As difficult and emotional as this sounds for Blake, he actually isn’t salty about Clare and Dale being together and seems to be a fan of their cosmic connection. We love the maturity!

“They look like they’re absolutely crushing it. So, you know, if I’m basing it just off of that, then I think they’re going to make it,” Blake added. “They connected hard. You saw on the show too. I didn’t know that [at the time] and it all makes sense now. And the thing is she deserves it. So, you gotta believe in it with them. He’s a really good dude. And he’s living up to everything right now. And he’s proving a lot of people wrong. And at the beginning, he was proving me wrong too. And now I’m fully on their side, hoping for the best for them.”

Blake even reached out to Clare for closure once filming was over for him, and he kept it 100 percent real with her. In his own words, he said, “‘Listen, you know, I know that through that episode, it looked like I was so against you guys, but at that time I had no idea that you guys hit it off the way you did.’ And now I’m watching it back and, like, I look like an idiot because I just thought there was no way and, you know, they’re making it very clear that there is a way and I’m so happy for them because it looks like they’re really taking off.”

Fingers crossed that Blake gets his own fairy-tale ending in the Bachelor universe—you know, since he didn’t make it to the final cut when competing to win Tayshia Adams’s heart when she took Clare’s place (and remaining 16 men)!
