Blake Lively's Makeup Artist Reveals How She Got the Bronzed Beauty Look for the 2022 Met Gala

I think we can all agree that Blake Lively is always a glow-getter, but tonight her complexion was positively radiant.
Making her debut on the red, white, and blue carpeted stairs of the Met Gala 2022, jaws were certainly dropping when Lively's gorgeous, custom-made Atelier Versace dress, featuring pink bow-like detailing with pink opera gloves transformed from a copper hue to a verdigris gown that featured a flowing train.
Blake's gown is a vision, but her perfectly glowy makeup is equally as entrancing. Showcasing her natural beauty, the exquisite makeup look created by celebrity makeup artist, Kristofer Buckle perfectly complimented her dress and fit the Gilded Glamour theme flawlessly.
“Blake’s look was inspired by warm-toned metals and coppers starting with a bronzed contour on the skin," Kristofer said.
Wearing exclusively Charlotte Tilbury, Blake's skin was prepped with Charlotte’s Magic Cream moisturizer, the hydrating Magic Serum Crystal Elixir, and the smoothing and brightening Magic Eye Rescue as well as the brand's new Collagen Superfusion Facial Oil.
For her base, Kristofer applied the Airbrush Flawless Foundation under the TikTok viral highlighting Beauty Light Wand in Pillow Talk. He then contoured Blake's face with the soon-to-be-released Beautiful Skin Sun-Kissed Glow Bronzer, which debuts on May 19. According to Kristofer, she's the first one to wear this product on the red carpet.
Continuing, "Her eyes were washed with a combination of matte browns for structure and metallic rose golds and coppers to play off her Versace gown," the makeup artist says.
To recreate the bronzed babe look, Kristofer says to use the cream eyeshadow Eyes to Mesmerise in Chocolate Bronze and the Luxury Palette of Pops in Pillow Talk before finishing the lashes with the volumizing Pillow Talk Push Up Lashes! Mascara.
On Blake's lips, Kristofer applied the pinky-nude lip liner Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk Medium and the Matte Revolution Lipstick in Sexy Sienna, before topping off the look with the plumping Collagen Lip Bath in Gold
Wanting to break add some visual interest to the makeup look, Kristofer says "I made her lips a gentle terracotta tone to bring an optimistic brightness to the monochromatic makeup palette.”
Finally, for radiant skin below the chin, Blake wore Charlotte Tilbury's Supermodel Body hydrating body shimmer, giving her a positively luminous finish.
