If you weren’t watching closely, you may have missed Blake Lively’s standout fashion moment at the Golden Globes.

Lively wore a custom-made Atelier Versace dress complemented by a pair of emerald Lorraine Schwartz bracelets.

But what separates Lively’s gown from those of other Versace-wearing celebs (Naomi Campbell also wore the Italian designer) was the dress’s gold chain-mail detailing along the neck and — unexpectedly — along the pockets, which were encrusted with Swarovski crystals.

It doesn’t look like these pockets are particularly functional, but that doesn’t make them any less glamorous — it took 300 hours to make the dress, according to a Versace representative.

While Lively’s gold pockets were reminiscent of the pocket trend that hit the Golden Globes carpet in 2016, they’re a more timely nod to this year’s chain-mail trend.
