And she isn’t against a ‘Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 3.’

There was a mini Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants reunion with Blake Lively making an appearance on co-star Amber Tamblyn's Substack video series, Further Ado. During their chat, the friends spoke about just how fun making the Sisterhood movies was and the sweet bond that they've shared for more than two decades. Lively even revealed that if it wasn't for her brother, she may not be an actress at all.

Tamblyn also shared a major friendship milestone: she said that Lively was the first person — after her husband David Cross — to hold her daughter, Marlow Alice Cross, who was born in 2017.

“It was such a joy to sit down with my friend of 20 years, actress and entrepreneur, Blake Lively. Blake and I have been through so much together: I got to be there in the room for her first audition for a major movie role in the Sisterhood franchise when she was just 16 years old (and she booked it!), and she was the first person (after my husband) to hold my daughter in the hospital after she was born," Tamblyn shared in a statement. "Blake is an ever-curious, playful, joyful soul, and I'm thrilled people will get to experience the depths of a friendship we have cultivated and nourished for more than two decades."

During their conversation, Blake shared that she never intended to become an actress, recalling that when she was younger, she wasn't sure what she'd be doing at all.

“I don’t know what I want to do for a living, but I know it’s not acting," she remembers thinking before adding, “My brother tricked me into auditioning for a show."

She went on to say that working on Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, which came out in 2005, followed by a sequel in 2008, was a very special moment for her. The franchise starred Lively and Tamblyn alongside Alexis Bledel and America Ferrera.

"When I did Sisterhood, I had the greatest experience anyone can ever imagine," Lively said. "In an industry that often pits women against each other," she continued, the cast’s friendship “defied the rules."

And for fans of the films that are still holding out for a third installment (there are five books total from author Ann Brashares), Lively said that she'd come back to her role in a heartbeat — as long as the script is right.

“We all love each other and want to do everything together," she said. "We’re not going to make it unless it’s great."
