Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Share a Rare Selfie in Masks Decorated by Their Daughters

Imagine being Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds and thinking you can embarrass your children?

On Sunday, August 16, the Gossip Girl actor shared a new selfie with her husband via her Instagram Story, fully admitting their plans to be those parents when their daughters get older.

The married couple—who are notoriously private and rarely share photos together on social media (except to troll each other on their birthdays)—modeled a pair of masks while rocking some silly faces. "We won’t embarrass them at all in middle school," Lively wrote above the picture.

Lively's mask featured a series of yellow stars while Reynolds's was covered in an assortment of colorful shapes. It seems their young daughters, James, five, Inez, three, and nine-month-old Betty, had a great time decorating their masks using a craft studio kit. “By two girls and a baby,” the mother of three also wrote with some cute emoji.

Lively also shared another pic to clarify that she wasn't even paid to promote the product by The Craft Studio—they are just that good. "This is not an ad. These kits are awesome," she wrote. “Love that @craftstudionyc is owned by a mama."

Last week Reynolds also made headlines after he just could not pass up the opportunity to troll his wife during a PSA that aimed to get young Canadians to stop partying amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

“I’m not sure it’s a great idea, frankly," the Deadpool actor began in response to a Canadian government official who asked him to help spread the word. "I don’t think they want medical advice from guys like me, no sir. Unless it’s plastic surgery, which—a lot of people don’t know this—but I used to be Hugh Jackman.”

"Young folks in B.C., they're partying," Reynolds continued. "Which is, of course, dangerous. They probably don’t know that thousands of young people aren't just getting sick from coronavirus, that they're also dying from it too."

Reynolds finished his response with a playful nod at his wife. “I just don't think I'm the guy to deliver this message. I love parties,” he said. "My favorite thing to do is sit alone in my room with a glass of gin and the first 32 seasons of Gossip Girl. That’s a party.”
