Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Are So Perfect for Each Other It Made This Astrologer Mad

You know that one couple you love to hate, because they're just that good together? Except you can't actually hate them because they're genuinely lovely, interesting, and talented people? Yeah, we're talking about Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.

They've got all of the elusive qualities of a Hollywood "It" couple: Attractive? Check. Hilarious? Check. Through the roof chemistry? Check. Did we say "extremely hot" already because, you bet, check.

Given their star signs, we should've seen their smolder coming from a mile away. That's right, according to astrology, which we may trust more than we should, Virgo (Lively) and Scorpio (Reynolds) are extremely compatible.

For InStyle's weekly astrological compatibility column, The Fault In Our Stars' Stars, we teamed up with Courtney Perkins of the freakishly accurate (and hilarious) @notallgeminis astrological Instagram account to break down why this cute couple is almost too good to be true.

Lively, 31, first stole our hearts on Gossip Girl, on which she played a beautiful, statuesque trust-fund teen, Serena van der Woodsen. Since her breakout role, she has starred as subsequent beautiful, statuesque characters in films like The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, A Simple Favor, and that shark movie, The Shallows.

Reynolds and his sheepish, heart-melting grin have been on the scene for decades now, with starring roles in films like Just Friends and Van Wilder. Though it's his recurring role as the pessimistic superhero Deadpool that's cemented the 42-year-old in Hollywood's hearts.

In 2018, the actor also bought a majority stake in Aviation Gin, earning his wife's support and unrelenting ridicule.

The pair met in 2010 on the set of Green Lantern, at a period in time when Reynolds was dealing with a divorce from his first wife, Scarlett Johansson. In 2011 — the same year that Reynolds's divorce was finalized — it was reported for the first time that he had begun dating Lively. They married a year later, in 2012, and welcomed their first daughter, James, in 2014. Two years later, they welcomed their second daughter, Inez.
