Blake Lively Is Roasting Ryan Reynolds for His *Unique* Christmas Cookies
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have a very *unique* relationship. While the lovebirds, who have been married five years, undoubtedly love each other, they don’t take themselves so seriously that they can’t dish out — or take! — a (public) ribbing from one another every now and then (see: both Lively and Reynolds’ epic birthday posts to one another), with the holidays being no exception.
As she did for her hubby’s Time 100 honor, The Rhythm Section actress took to Instagram to roast her spouse, this time over some sweet, if slightly misshapen, cookies.
“@vancityreynolds made some Christmas cookies…” she wrote, adding a shocked emoji.
The treats, while vaguely recognizable as snowmen and Christmas trees, were not exactly #DecoratingGoals, with many largely broken and others burnt, bare, or sloppily frosted.
Still, the 30-year-old looked to the bright side, adding, “He’s verrrry handsome though.”
Reynolds was quick to defend himself, commenting, “I wanted to be the first person to bake Christmas cookies using only a hammer.”
The 41-year-old has made no secret of the fact that he’s no chef, telling Men’s Health back in August, “If I cook, you’ll have a structure fire. The fireman will knock down our door, take my wife away, and give her a better life.”
From the sounds of things, he made out alright in the baking department after all!
